Overview
By default, form submission data is stored and processed in the United States. However, you can change the geographic region to Europe if needed or preferred to meet your regional data requirements, enhance privacy, and support regulatory compliance like GDPR. We offer EU-based hosting and storage for respondent data (form submissions) to meet specific data residency requirements.This feature is available on the Team and Enterprise plans. Contact support to switch to EU hosting after upgrading.
Switch to EU hosting
After upgrading to the Team or Enterprise plan (if you aren’t already on one), email support@fillout.com or start a chat on our website to request EU hosting.Important considerations
Before switching to EU hosting, keep the following points in mind:- Data Migration: Existing submissions stored in the previous region will not carry over to the EU servers. It is essential to back up any data you wish to retain before initiating the switch.
- Feature Availability: Certain features, such as Zite Databases and Zite Apps, are not available on EU servers. You will lose access to these features after switching.
You can always switch back to the default US hosting anytime. Just contact our team for assistance.
