Sync file uploads to Dropbox with a form
Upload file submissions automatically to a Dropbox folder with your Fillout form. Optionally set a dynamic file path to categorize submissions into nested folders.

Dropbox allows users to store documents, photos, videos, and more in your personal cloud storage space, eliminating the need for physical storage devices.

How it works
1. Link your Fillout form to Dropbox
Go to Integrations, and click
Dropbox
to link your form.Note: This integration is only applicable to file uploads. When creating your form, make sure you have at least one file upload field.
Add a name for your connection, then click
Connect to Dropbox
. Enter your log-in details in the pop-up window that appears, then click Allow
.Choose which
Folder
you would like to store the files in.2. Map your form fields on Fillout
Select the File upload field from your Fillout form. Click
Pick reference
to choose the page where you asked your respondent for the file. Once you find the question, click
Insert
. Then, click Finish setup
followed by Publish
, and you're all set!Important: Files will be uploaded to Dropbox only when the form is submitted.
3. Publish and share
Once everything is set, click
Finish setup
on the upper right corner. That's it! Your form's good to go. Simply Publish
and share the link.Add a dynamic file path
You can set a dynamic file path to categorize file uploads into folders that are based on user input. Toggle the
Dynamic file path?
switch, then select a Folder path fragment.Click the
+
button and choose the page
that contains how you want to categorize the folder. In our example, we will group the folders by the Name field, which can be found on the Personal Information page.Next,
Insert
the value. Now, when a respondent submits a form, their file upload will be stored in a folder under their Name. This means every respondent will have their own folder.Add subfolders
You can add a subfolder by typing
/
followed by the subfolder name of your choice. Enter a personalized filename prefix
