Google Calendar is a free and easy-to-use scheduling tool for managing events, meetings, and appointments. It allows users to create and share calendars, set reminders, and send invitations with automatic notifications. With seamless integration across Google Workspace, it syncs across devices and supports collaborative scheduling. While great for personal and professional use, it lacks advanced booking features like customizable scheduling forms and payment processing.
Why more people are switching to booking pages
Typically, when scheduling a meeting with colleagues or clients, most people send an email with a bulleted list of their availability. This often leads to back-and-forth emails, timezone mix-ups, and occasional typos. Here’s why linking a booking page can make things easier:
- Eliminates endless emails: Avoids the hassle of back-and-forth scheduling discussions
- Prevents timezone confusion: Automatically adjusts for different timezones, so no one books at the wrong time
- Reduces scheduling errors: Removes the risk of typos or double-bookings
- Saves time for everyone: Lets invitees pick a time that works for them instantly
- Keeps things organized: Centralizes all bookings in one place for easy tracking
How to share a booking page link
First, open your Google Calendar. On the upper left corner, click Create followed by Appointment Schedule.

Add a title for your booking page, set your appointment duration, and configure other settings. Click Next to continue.

Set your preferred location, optionally add a description, and customize additional details. Then, click Save.
Finally, click Share and copy your link. That’s it, anyone with the link can now schedule a time with you. You can click Open booking page to see how your page appears to those booking a time with you.

Customize the design of your booking page
Google Calendar’s booking page lacks the ability to let users customize its look and feel. There is no option for users to change the background color, font, or other style elements. A workaround is to create a custom booking page in Fillout.

On the Fillout homepage, click Scheduling in the top menu. Then, go to Calendar and apps to connect your Google Calendar.

Next, click Scheduling links in the left-hand panel followed by + Scheduling form. You can choose among different types, with one-on-one being the most common.

Add a title and set your event duration. Click Theme to customize the colors, upload a background photo, change the font, add a logo, and more. You can also edit your avatar and adjust your name appears.

Once everything is good to go, click Publish in the upper right corner and share your link or embed it anywhere.
A booking page simplifies scheduling, eliminates back-and-forth emails, and ensures a smoother experience for both you and your clients. While Google Calendar offers a basic option, using Fillout gives you more flexibility to customize the look and feel of your page. With just a few steps, you can create a booking page that matches your brand and makes scheduling effortless.
